About NSCS

As you may have already figured out, NSCS stands for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. NSCS is an honor society that was formed in 1994 at George Washington University in Washington D.C. The organization has spanned to all across the nation with over 225 university chapters with Florida State University being among one of them. NSCS only accepts the best and brightest at the each university. In order to join an individual must maintain a 3.4 GPA and and top 20 percent of his/her class in the first or second year in college. Below is a list of information about NSCS and our chapter.
- Benefits Given To Members One of the major benefits of being in NSCS is networking with employers. Being a member can easily help towards being recruited by a desired employer. It also gives you opportunities to apply for scholarships to pay for college.
- Helping the Community NSCS and our chapter especially believes in giving back to the community. We have many community service and charity events throughout the school year.
- Challenge Members To Achieve Potential We provide leadership training skills that members will be able to use in the future. Individuals are able to meet and learn from current officers and other members. You will also able to meet other members from across nation as well.
- Once A Member, Always a Member When a person joins NSCS, he/she is a member for life. Even long after you graduate, you are still a member of NSCS. Members are always entitled to the special benefits that go with the organization.
